  2. And that my friends is why trump will never be commander in chief. Because acting like a coward and running isn’t going to win, if anything it will empower our enemy to attack us again. Remember, it was our inaction against the original WTC attacks and the USS Cole that made our enemy feel it could destroy our will. I think trump should stick to what he does best. Interestingly enough, if he really cared so much about New Orleans and Katrina, why isn’t he building low income housing for the poor unfortunate souls who he claims we aren’t helping. Talk about a hypocrit, he is almost as bad as Rosie.

  3. Read “The Art of the Deal”, this man has done more for the world than you could ever hope for.

The same sons of bitches that claim that it will be a bloodbath if we leave were claiming it would be a cakewalk to win this war.

You don’t make friends with people by murdering their father, raping their mother and doing both to their sister.

9/11 was not an attack, and even if it were there would be no one to declare it against. Terror is a strategy, not an enemy. Declaring war on terror is like declaring war on surprise attacks.

You sir, are the 25% of morons keeping this criminal, in office. He’s not a conservative, he’s a neo-con and doesn’t deserve to be the president.

  4. Joe you’re a delusional coward. You’re so afraid of imaginary terrorists that you and your type are killing America. It’s because of your kind that the world hates us. The funny thing is, your helping the elite who laugh at you and hold you in contempt. Talk about low income housing, just think how much the money wasted in Iraq could have done to actually do good in the world. It could have provided every American with healthcare, shored up social security and provided low income housing. The war has not helped America and no matter how much you chant government propaganda it won’t make you right.

  8. If common sense is cowardly then Ronald Reagan is a coward because he withdrew from Lebanon after the marine based was destroyed by terrorists saying they were f-ing crazy. How do you defeat people willing to blow themselves up? Going to war against them doesn’t frighten people like that, they will not surrender. The only option is changing their minds.

Al-Qaeda was little more than a media effort than an actual cell until we invaded Iraq a second time–when you kill 100,000 to 500,000 Iraqis, 99% of them innocent citizens, you radicalize moderates and make them take up arms–think about it, if somebody killed your father or brother for no reason wouldn’t that make you want revenge on those murderes? And guess what? 15 of those 19 hijackers on 911 were Saudis, and Osama is a Saudi and gets his money from Saudis, but since American companies sell billions and billions of dollars worth of arms to the Saudis they stopped us from invading the real hotbed for radical Islam, which is Saudi Arabia a country full of wahabi schools that teach religious intolerance of non-Muslims, they are the ones funding terrorism through out the world but since the Bushies make $$$$$ via their business deals in that country it was off the table for action even though it is the real threat. Iraq was a secular nation, Saddam had rebuffed Al-Qaeda’s overtures calling them radical freaks he wanted nothing to do with (sure, there had to be some in his administration who secretly supported them but nowhere to the extent they get today in Iraq). Staying in Iraq only empowers the terrorists, only recruits more of them, and weakens our status in the global arena. We went from being the most respected nation on the planet to the most hated in six years thanks to W’s absurdly selfish policies–this isn’t just in Muslim countries, this is the whole world and they think we are way more of a threat to global security than the terrorists.

The fact that W cannot admit he made a mistake proves he is the true coward as a strong man can admit to errors while a wussy makes excuses and obfuscates the issues so he won’t have to admit fault. A coward ignores that 75% of the country want the troops home and claims he has the true knowledge direct from God (statements that would get most people thrown into a mental hospital) and that history will judge him correct; we common folk are just too stupid to realize his genius.

Oh, by the way, the whole point of terrorism is to get us to react in your knee jerk fashion as in to terrorize us so we escalate our actions so they can justify their efforts that previously had no true justifications, which is why Al-Qaeda had very little support until we invaded Iraq, which means you are helping the terrorists win by playing right into their hands. A diffuse entity like Al-Qaeda cannot be destroyed, after all we’ve captured hundreds of their leaders and as soon as we get one another is promoted to replace the lost one just like the mob, which has been around for over five centuries and there’s been countless efforts to destroy them and they haven’t been yet. The same goes for Al-Qaeda, the world is just too big to destroy them so the only way to truly win is to convert their minds through reasonable actions that help to support Muslim countries to make them our friends instead of our enemies.

We cannot bully the whole world into doing things our way, it’s not sustainable in the long run but it sure does make people like you feel like you’re a proud, righteous American patriot, which is why fools like W rattles his sabre so you’ll mindlessly vote for him or his cronies and ignore the true problems like 100,000 people who die a year from hospital errors (33 times more than 911), the 50,000 who die in car wrecks a year, the 400,000 who die from tobacco a year, and the 600,000 who die each year to make sure corporate profits don’t suffer. 911 is a one time drop in the bucket compared the annually repeating deaths attributed to above but they aren’t sexy and chest thumping issues that rile your blood up so they get ignored–if we had spent all that Iraq war wasted money on healthcare, improving auto safety, and policing lawless corporations we would have saved hundreds of thousands more lives than the war on terror will ever save. Of course if we had done that you wouldn’t be able to proclaim the greatness of our military and your political beliefs so I guess the millions dead thanks to us squandering money on a pointless war can rest easy that at least you and 25% of the country think it was the right path to take.

  10. I don’t think Donald Trump could do worse then Bush; anything would be an improvement.

By Nick on Jul 25, 2007

  11. Joe you sure know how to over simplify the situation. Indeed, al Qaeda uses the United States presence in Iraq as a very potent recruiting tool. The fact of the matter is no matter if the US stays or leaves it is a lose lose situation for both Iraq and the United States.

  12. Nice to see someone call out Bush the traitor.

    Impeach him

    Convict him.

    Execute him.

  13. Cue Republican Rosie comment as of….now. You know whats more cowardly than anything Trumps done? Dodging the draft like Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, Limbaugh, O’ Reilly, all have done. I could go on all night listing Republican draft dodging cowards. They served their country better by cutting and running from Vietnam duty and going to law school eh?

By Bobby on Jul 25, 2007

  14. That was a pretty ignorant statement. How are we going to be active all the time for the rest of existence? It’s impossible for everyone in the world to like us. And considering the Iraq war has little to do with 9/11, http://thinkprogress.org/2006/08/21/bush-on-911/, leaving Iraq is a moot point in any terrorism debate. And Joe, Trump does care… http://www.trumpuniversity.com/blog/index.cfm?blogpost_id=817

By Bill on Jul 25, 2007

  15. From what I understand, Trump got all of his money from his dad who basically owned new york the way trump owns half of it now, and he almost lost it all at one point. If you’ve watched the Apprentice, and really pay attention to everything he fires people for, you’ll see him firing someone over one thing in one episode and then firing someone for doing the opposite of what he said in another.

But I think Bush has screwed things up too. Iraq was a mistake. Striking back at Afghanistan was acceptable, but Bush has declared war on ‘terrorism’ and he’s treating it more like a war on the middle east. Pulling out from Iraq now is not acting like a coward; it’s recovering from a stupid move. Sometimes you have to accept that you’ve done things wrong and try to rectify them, otherwise things will just get worse.

  16. Joe, you are a parrot and I feel bad for you. I don’t know where to begin.

By Ed on Jul 25, 2007

  17. Joe is a tool. Any sane person can see that the Iraq war was a bad idea to begin with, was poorly executed, and has failed, miserably, at increasing anyone’s security. Bush has failed. The Neocon experiment has failed. Simple idea: When you are in a hole, stop digging. Iraq had nothing to do 9/11 (W. Safire can eat me), and the war there is diversion from the real work that must to be done if we are to survive. I cry for my country. Bush may have accomplished in 6 years what the Soviet Union could not in 50.

By snart on Jul 25, 2007

  18. Excellent point Joe! Why isn’t Donald Trump doing the federal government’s job for it by paying for Katrina relief? Thank god we have intelligent people like you who aren’t naive enough to think that our Monkey in Chief is actually smart enough to do his job.

By Patrick on Jul 25, 2007

  19. Joe at some point one must draw a line between cowardice and stupidity. Staying in Iraq is stupidity. There will be no destruction of the American will, Vietnam has proved that. You sir, are simply shortsighted considering the situation.

If you feel America should be fixing other countries problems, Darfur is a much more logical place to start with anyway.

By Mike on Jul 25, 2007

  20. Joe,
Don’t you think attacking Iraq rather than going after Al-Quaida (who are Saudi-based and were hiding in Afghanistan and Pakistan) might have “emboldened” the enemy(Al-Quaida). Not to mention, the US, #2 on Al -Quaida’s hit list, took out Saddam, #4 on their hit list for them, so they could fully focus on Israel (#1) and the Saudi’s that co-operate with the US (#3). If all your information comes from Fox news and pundit-talking points, you easily fail to see what really happened here. There is no war on terrorism, the terrorist are ignored, while our soldiers die to control the flow of oil from the middle-east. Next you’ll be telling us we we’re attacked because “they hate our freedom”. Think, don’t parrot, think.

By mtb on Jul 25, 2007

  21. He’s a coward? Unless your typing that post from Iraq, you don’t have any room to talk. Furthermore, the stated goal of al queida is a war between the east and the west, and guess what, Bush and all his supporters played right into his hands.

By asdf on Jul 25, 2007

  22. You’re totally right Joe. Becasuse nothing empowered those evil doers the communists more than when the US left Vietnam. After that it was all over. Soon, all the dominoes collapsed. The communists saw that we could be defeated and it emboldened them to begin taking over the world killing and raping and pillaging as they went along. They hated democracy and most of all - freedom. I mean, we’re practically socialists now, with Michael Moore preaching that people should get free health care. What an evil proposition. Hell, al Qaeda was probably funding the North Vietnamise

  23. I started off skeptical. But after reading the first 2 comments,
how to 2 posters hated the opposite side, then recalling what
Trump said about the country is divided… well… may be
he is right I thought to myself.

  24. @Joe, win what? W is an Oil man (businessman too, *laugh*), so is his brother, this is one of the primary reasons for the US to invade Iraq. If it was to win his “War on TerrorTM” he would have taken the fight elsewhere, but then his friends wouldnt make tons of money off government rebuild contract, as most of those terrorist hot-beds are POOR countries.

Bush ran for office citing he would “Run the Country as a Profitable BusinessTM”, yet he has a proven trackrecord which shows he has absolutely no clue how to run a profitable business. I’m just wondering who it’s profitable for - it’s DEFINATLY not for the country! I bet Trump would do a MUCH better job.

  26. Whoever thinks Donald Trump is good for the world really needs to jump off a cliff. You’d have to be very deluded to think he actually helped humanity. All he has ever done was build shrines for the rich. He’s just another capitalist exerting control from his wealth. Don’t have high regards for him, because this man is no humanitarian.

Furthermore, who the hell is Donald Trump, and why has he been resurfacing and releasing statements every so often? Why does he want the spotlight shone upon him? Is he planning to run for office?

I wouldn’t want Trump in office. I’m sure he’d have the same contempt for public services, the poor, and the middle class, like the current assholes who run this country. Contempt for humanity, especially the poor, breeds hate, greed, despair, crime, ignorance. This country has a history of contempt for those who live in it, and that’s why it’s in its current state of decline. Businessmen have no place in politics; their only goal is to make money, not a better country.

By dub on Jul 26, 2007

  27. They’re both idiots.
The main difference being Trump isn’t responsible for the deaths of nearly a million people.

By Sue Xian on Jul 26, 2007

  28. One of the things I find most disconcerting about the video is the interviewer’s implied belief that U.S. policy has gone to pot because they don’t have a CEO running the country. That if the US were run as a business, things would be better. Everyone seems to have forgotten that Bush was heralded as the CEO president. He was the first MBA president no less. I think Mr. Bush’s biggest undoing has been his willingness to use any means to satisfy his ends, whether they are ethical or not. I’m not convinced his business background helped him act as a political leader or as someone entrusted to serve the American public.
